Why the Lemon Aid Stand?

This is my first blog on my new site and I'm excited as well as a bit nervous to see how this all works.

I started the Lemon Aid Stand as a forum to try counteract the negativity that flies around us all. I wasn't aware of how insidious it can be until I was faced with truly soul eroding situations at my former employment, employment that I have since left in the last month.

My family and friends have always viewed me as the Best Little Lemonade Maker in town. You know the saying...When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I had perfected the art of lemonade making, so I thought. Then came some real testing of my philosophy and I have had to take a hard look at my beliefs and actions.

All of us have challenges, all of us get discouraged, and all of us have those dark moments when we wonder how on earth we got where we are and what to do next. I certainly don't have all the answers and never have pretended to. What I hope to bring to this forum is some common sense ideas set in a straightforward style that may help bring positive thinking and actions back to the forfront of at least my life and maybe give a few good ideas that others can share.
